F1 star of the future

Avian has launched the website for Scotland's new Formula One racer Paul di Resta. Paul's racing seat at Force India was confirmed at a press conference held at the Glasgow HQ of team sponsor Whyte & Mackay.

“Becoming an F1 driver has been a long-held ambition of mine, something I've wanted to do since I first stepped into a kart, and to finally realise it feels amazing," the 24-year-old from Bathgate, who completed his first test session of the 2011 season in Valencia this week, said.

"I've worked really hard for this opportunity throughout my career and to get it with Force India, a young team that's got ambitions as big as mine, is genuinely exciting. I can't wait to be on the grid in Bahrain; it can't come soon enough.”

Avian was commissioned to create a site that provided a full picture of Paul’s driving career as well as provide a flavour of the exciting sport he is involved in.

Avian’s design incorporated elements of Paul’s Italian heritage and his Scottish roots, plus F1 newsfeeds from Scotcars.co.uk so fans can keep up to date with his global achievements.
