Avian win prestigious Scottish Enterprise Award

Avian, the Dundee based integrated marketing agency, picked up the award for Business Growth through Information & Communication Technology at the recent Scottish Enterprise Tayside Business Excellence awards hosted by BBC presenter Sally Gray.

The event, whose sponsors included Highland Spring, Forth Ports, DC Thomson and Michelin, covered a range of business achievements from innovation and creativity, through people development, marketing and sales to international activity and sustainable development

Avian won the award for the development of their own internal workflow system ‘JobBook’ which has played a significant role in their recent phenonmenal growth. Avian were able to demonstrate that ‘JobBook’ had played an integral part in helping the company to grow whilst at the same time enabling them to reduce internal administrative costs.

They were also able to convincingly demonstrate their ongoing investment in the system and the continuing evolution of the system over the coming year.

‘JobBook’ is a customisable web enabled project management tool developed from the ground up by the digital team at Avian. It allows the company to manage all aspects of a project including work allocation, financial management, internal communications and repository for all documentation and creative work.

George Gall, Avian’s Managing Director said “I am delighted that we have won this prestigious award, it is due recognition for all the hard work put in by the team in developing ‘JobBook’ but also a reflection on what our clients have known for some time, in that it has allowed them to reap the benefits of our highly efficient account management processes that in turn has made us one of the largest and most highly regarded marketing agencies in Scotland.”
